My name is Dat Vo. I'm a software engineer, a son and a brother.

I believe that the best way understand something is to recreate it: technology(build it), food(cook it), music(play it), etc..

Professional History

My background is a Backend & Infrastructure Engineer with focus on AI Systems . I have been programming from a young age. I began professional work early during university. Below is a summary of my work experience:

  • Infrastructure: I designed and deployed highly available, reliable, scalable and secured infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. I used Terraform with Helm charts for these tasks.
  • Backend: I designed, built and deployed modulite backends. I used Go, NodeJS and Rust as programming languages. I used Restful, gRPC as communication protocols.
  • AI Systems: I helped data scientists with fine-tuning and productionizing their LLM models
  • DevOps: Implemented and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Github Action. I also used shell/bash and Makefile to create automated scripts.
  • Leading: I led small engineering teams fewer than 20 people. I also mentored junior developers, participated in architecting systems, delegated tasks and conduct code reviews. Leadship responsibilities usually took about 30% of my daily workload.

  • I founded Exajoy as public-facing brand for software projects I built.
  • I'm building griffin, a proxy tool to explore about networking and Rustlang.
  • I'm building Illusia.ai, because I love of AI art as much as traditional art.
  • I share my industry experience and learning journey in my blog posts.

  • I love reading non-fiction books and research papers.
  • Gymming, running, photography and cooking are also my favourite activities in free time.
